Psalm 18 v 2 tells us "The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress and my Deliverer."

Rock Solid! That's how we describe something that is strong and secure.
In Old Testament times a city built on a high rock was easy to defend. A fortress built on a rocky foundations was a safe retreat in battle.

God is our eternal rock -
unshakable, unmovable, reliable and secure. No-one can take Him by surprise
or conquer Him by force.

Watching the news can make us feel uncertain at times -
disasters wars, hatred, crime, unemployment, recession, violence -
it's all a bit unsettling.
Christians have no need to fear the future. God is not shaken
or pushed around by anyone or anything.
He won't ever change and He can always be relied on.
